Yesterday was the last main day of the conference. Cloud replacement of on-premises systems remains the key theme, but CPaaS/APIs and collaboration grew in importance at the conference versus last year. Microsoft and Google keynotes focused on collaboration. Minimal discussion out of Microsoft regarding cloud phone system. We met with 8x8 and Plantronics management, as well as several high-growth private companies, such as Zoom, VoiceBase and Flowroute.

Amazon Connect was the big news on day 2 of Enterprise Connect. AWS is selling a basic cloud contact center service now. The service is GA in one region per normal Amazon release patterns, but the plan is to sell globally. Twilio announced a partnership with Connect, and gave a keynote speech. We met with Vonage and Sonus management, and attended 8x8's new product demos. More AT&T news too. A Cisco keynote was kind of uneventful.
