Normally, this would be the time of year where I'd write about all of the amazing things we had planned for Enterprise Connect live in Orlando next week. These days, it seems strange to even start a sentence with the word, "normally." But we've still got some interesting things going on next week that I can share with you.
Since we can't do the event live as planned, we've put together a selection of sessions and keynotes and assembled a rudimentary virtual version of Enterprise Connect. Between next Monday and Wednesday, March 30-April 1, we'll be broadcasting nine webinars based on breakout sessions we had planned for Orlando, as well as keynote addresses from four of the companies that we had planned to present on the main stage.
There are a ton of great sessions from the Orlando program that we couldn't get onto this virtual lineup, but our plan is that we'll be able to make these sessions, or similar ones, available when we host our postponed live Enterprise Connect event August 3-6 in San Francisco. In the meantime, the experts presenting next week's content have done terrific work in taking the presentations they would have delivered in Orlando, and updating these critical topics to take into account the upheavals our industry is now dealing with on a daily basis.
In addition to delivering this original, vendor-neutral content, we'll present keynote addresses from four thought leaders at technology providers in the enterprise communications/collaboration industry:
- Stewart Butterfield, CEO and Co-founder, Slack
- Sri Srinivasan, SVP/GM, Cisco Collaboration
- Vlad Shmunis, CEO, Founder, and Chairman of the Board, RingCentral
- Anthony Bartolo, EVP and Chief Product Officer, Avaya
Finally, at 11:00 a.m. ET on Wednesday, April 1, just before our first webinar of the morning, we're going to announce the winners of our 2020 Best of Enterprise Connect Award. This high-profile, prestigious award program involves an intensive judging process in which four independent experts evaluate dozens of entries to select six finalists. From these finalists, they select one Overall winner, as well as recognize innovation in four specific categories. You can see the roster of finalists and information on the categories and judges here.
The coronavirus pandemic has already changed our world, and many indications suggest that the next few weeks could be especially challenging and painful for many of our friends, neighbors, colleagues, and family. Those of us who are fortunate enough to be able to do our jobs through this time can be grateful for the continued work. Our Enterprise Connect Virtual content represents what "doing our job" means for us at this moment in time. I hope you'll be able to partake of some of this content — it'll also be available on demand post-event — and that it'll help you do your job, even as that job changes around you. I also hope you and yours will stay safe and healthy.
