That’s why we’re committed to offering opportunities for women in the industry to build their knowledge and their personal networks via our Conference, Exhibition, and throughout the event through formal and informal networking opportunities. This year’s event offers opportunities for learning, exchanging ideas, and creating the connections that help build a career. We’re also committed to recognizing excellence and promise on the part of individual women in the industry.
The Spotlight Award will be presented to select women who work within enterprise IT. This Award is specifically intended to encourage and recognize women who have chosen to make a career as technologists or technology leaders in the enterprise. Awareness of the need to equalize men’s and women’s career opportunities in enterprise IT has grown rapidly over the last several years. But has this translated into more job openings and promotions for women in IT in general and enterprise communications and collaboration in particular? What unique challenges do women still confront as they try to advance in this profession, and what can they learn from their collective experiences?
Hear from a panel of leading women in IT/enterprise communications and collaboration, followed by an open forum that will get to the heart of topics that most affect panelists and attendees. This no-holds-barred discussion--what’s going right, what still needs to be done, and how everyone in the industry can contribute to the solutions--will kick off Enterprise Connect 2020’s Women in Communications program.
